Just Finished, Giant-Sized X-Men: Magneto

Third in a line of giant-sized issues that continue a trend of WTF? I mean what are the point of these books? First, Storm telepathically being saved and given a death sentence. Then, Nightcralwer visiting the abandoned X-Mansion only to find a mutant trapped by alien monsters and seemingly a secret return of a new mutant. And now, Magneto securing an island for Emma Frost. Why? Why any of it?????
