Derived from Non-Player Character in video games, is an Internet meme that expresses the idea that individuals on the political left do not think for themselves. I used to think this image was hostile as I've always been politically independent seeing common ground from multiple viewpoints. However, the further the left goes the more right I find myself. Lately this image makes perfect sense.
