Like any sane, decent person, I have tried my best to avoid Kevin Costner at all costs over the years, with considerable success. However, without Robin Hood Prince of Thieves there would be no Robin Hood Men in Tights, so I'm grateful for that. It's one of those parodies that instantly makes the original negligible, and yet justifies its existence. I can think of two other parodies that have eclipsed their originals in this manner ("Detiorata" and "White 'n' Nerdy") but I'm sure there are others.
