Been saying this since grade 6. I remember I formulated it back then that obviously people were not equal in merit, and I noticed that the people who demanded equality the most were the people who had the least merit, and were super neurotic about other people having more merit than them. They feel judged by their comparative lack of merit, so they perpetuate lies about equality in the hopes that others will overlook their worthlessness, and give to them what they don't deserve and haven't truly earned.
