This is a section of the gorge trail at Watkins State Park, which is located in the village of Watkins Glen, New York. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The narrow gorge itself has been cut though the rock by a stream, which was left hanging when glaciers deepened the Seneca valley. .................................................................................................................................................................. #art #photography #nature #outdoors
