Did the Vikings really have tattoos? Yes they did. Though no remains have been found intact enough to reveal the tattoos, we do know that a lot of them did have... a lot of them. An arab merchant wrote about his encounter with the vikings and said the men were tattooed from the tips of their fingers to their necks. The tattoos were dark green figures of trees and symbols.
