Australias ban on the small plastic soy sauce dispensers is brilliant. Keep going,ban tea with plastic next,rotisserie chicken heated in plastic,liquid food products in plastic bags,plastic bottles for drinks,plastic cooking utensils and many more. Too much plastic is accumulating in our brains. Our children are worth the bans are they not?

A Disphyma plant in flower. This is an Australian native and is edible. The leaves have a reasonable flavour and much better tasting than the similar looking but larger Carpobrotus . Grows near the coast as well as inland areas. As always,before you forage,be 100% sure to identify the plant correctly,make sure it is not in a polluted area and at first try only a tiny bit in case of error or allergy.
