A constant contributor to the underground music scene, through 3 decades of music changes, Roger Moore AKA Dj Double 0, has captured people's ears and feelings on dancefloors across the world, with his unique ear for a good club record and legendary Dj sets. From his humble beginnings spinning' ragga, bashment at shabeens and squat parties in the mid-eighties, heading into the rave era of the early 90's, Roger enjoyed the hedonistic days of the rave scene, when he got his break as resident @ Club Ealing Boulevard, London in 1994, alongside key Dj’s from the clubbing scene including Martin Larner, Chunky, Smokey Joe, Roy the Roach, James Anthony plus many more, under the roof of Ealing Boulevard week in week out. When that came to an end, a young mc by the name of Sharky Contacted Roger to tell him about a new radio station that had recently started in West London called Ice FM, and if Roger would be interested in Dj'ing on the station. Roger agreed and the rest is history with Ice FM enjoying a number of years being one of the most popular pirate radio stations of its decade, with Double O & Sharky P holding down a weekly Sunday show attracting a massive following with the rising sound of UKG.A fundamental part of the team which included the crème de la crème of this heavy sound bubbling away in the heart of London including Dexter Rico, Ricky D, Mr Reds, Rio, Spin E B, Dom the Bomb, Bigatron, Sonic, Mc Danger K, Kalibre, Mampie. His collection of records was now bursting out his household but still he kept buying records at records shops during the booming days of underground records stores, one being Bassline Records, NW London, Roger worked there for 4 years supplying vinyl to the Dj's, practically running the shop, and crucially handpicking what he thought would be the next big sellers. Proving his ear for good music, Roger and the rest of the Bassline crew sold 1000's and 1000's of records, in effect pushing the sound of UKG to great influence within the industry. Of course Roger got to pick the gems for himself, again having the edge on other Dj's with his selection of white labels, pushing those same promos on his radioshows.A formula that concreted him in the UKG scene for both the clubber, radio listener and up n coming artist who wanted to gain exposure through his radioshows. From the success of Ice FM, and his experience of the radioshow with Sharky, this spurred Roger to continue his radio career with his long-time friend Dj Katty, once Ice FM had unfortunately come to its end. Their radioshows continued success on stations Inc. Freeze, Code 10,Sub Jam, Ice Cold FM, Image, London Live, Hype Radio, ImIn and to the present day Roger is still jamming with the live shows on Oos Radio, Bonus Radio as part of the Movement Kru with fellow garage dons NJ, Intro, Nicky Hunt, Basic. And its stop there. During this period of heavy radio influence, the requests for club performances were coming in, giving Roger the opportunity to play across the UK to masses of ravers from small intimate parties and after parties in the West end of London to some of the biggest UKG raves in the country including Liberty, Exposure, Obsession, One Night Stand, Garage Fever, Stush, Rotation, Airport 77, Camouflage, Inamorata, Pure Sensation, Education In Dance, Back to Love, Aubergine, Lyric Lounge to name a few. So it can be pretty much said Roger aka Dj Double O has had the experience and the skills to rock a crowd having tried n tested and succeeded throughout his 30 year career as club and radio Dj. Which still he proves to this day, gigging and Dj’ing to crowds, radio listeners, appreciating the music he shares with his listeners and followers across the globe. Times have changed and Roger has evolved bringing his radio show to the internet via his podcasts and internet radio shows. He also a tastemaker for many labels and promo companies with the next best bangers, keeping his selection cutting edge but paying homage to the tunes he has witnessed do damage on the floors over the years. A real Dj who plays music for the people dem!
