Locally known as the ‘Midwest Nipsey Hussle’, DaGi seeks to bring his unique brand of hip hop music from the murky depths of Des Moines, Iowa to the international scene. DaGi shows he’s super ready for the world stage through his unapologetic rap lyrics that are reminiscent of his topsy-turvy upbringing. Devoting his life to pursing his passion while helping those around him, DaGi has experienced life in all ramifications. DaGi began creating music while in prison at age 16. His exposure to penitentiary reform gave him a fleeting escape from reality—a sense of freedom and hope for future bliss. With a keen ability to see the light in the darkness, DaGi recalls his tough childhood in his music, expressing the many discrepancies he faced as a minority in Iowa. Being half African American and half Caucasian, DaGi has been shaded in the two extremes of the racial spectrum. This gives him an unparalleled perspective of life, which he now shares in the lyrics and content he creates. With this unrivalled passion, DaGi founded Web Gang Records now Fly Fee Society. To further his vision of real life community growth, DaGi created of the Fly Free movement to help support and empower communities online. Taking inaugural steps into the online music scene, DaGi has released 3 projects under 2 Artist Names First under the Mighty Iowa Empire Smoov Criminal Ent as DaGi he debuts ‘ Locked Out Here With Me” his first musical project And then “No Middle Man” under his own Web Gang Records. Changing his Artist name to ‘Mid Wess Dave’ a project called ‘Fammoola vol: 1’.That same Music Project has given new life to David Gilbert as a Artist and Business Man better known as DaGi (the Name Changes not carrying over with fans before). Learning From his pre mature business mistakes DaGi is pushing forward with a new untitled Music Project on the way.
