Why Minds Is Underrated

I'll save you some time if you don't want to continue, this is mostly about my accomplishments on Minds and then comparing them with other platforms and paid clients I work with on traditional platforms and how blockchain social is excelling and underrated.

My metrics for views and subscribers are estimates as I can't go back in time to check these. I'd also like to just state that with better analytics and insights, I could do wonders for on-boarding new brands and influencers. Anyways I wanted to share this painstakingly manually collected data because it shows how much potential Minds has. These results are better than what I get from paid campaigns on Facebook that cost upwards of $1000 except I did this without actually spending money. Also note that I will have more accurate results in the future now that I'm updating it, but it's still all manual. This is a platform that is so new to me, I am able to reach so many people and avoid the noise inherent in most social platforms and feel blessed.

So What?

Now you may think how do this help me? Well. If you take a look at my Twitter for example where I'm sharing a lot of the same content and the same general theme and style of social interaction with my followers. With more followers there, I'm seeing not even a fraction of the same results that I get here. I've done some basic advertising on Twitter too trying out their "promote mode" and deploying basic blockchain engagement ads targeting engagement for about 50$ a month.

Here's my Twitter analytics:

As you can see it's mostly organic with a bit of paid boosting which I only ran for the first part of the month actually. I got much more engagement from tweeting about live conferences I was at which makes sense. Though the impressions don't look bad, they rarely line up with engagement.

I could keep sharing analytics and comparing, but I only got 208 likes, 60 retweets, 63 link clicks and 16 replies which only makes up a tiny portion of the engagements and feedback on Minds and I used some paid budget there.

Now it's pretty niche in some sense, but I had someone ask me the other day, "do you think you could write about whatever you want?" I said yeah man write about waffles, so he did and it was trending on the blog page for a day or two because it was written well. The point is anyone can write about what they like and have no worry about sharing and the algorithm isn't manipulating their potential. (given it's not illegal)

I think that's really it, platforms like these empower individuals to talk about anything they're passionate about and eventually as more and more people join the platform be able to freely communicate with others who feel the same and have open discussion about it. August isn't over "Mind" you, but I wanted to share this because I really feel it outlines the potential that Minds has to offer over traditional platforms. Especially if you are a blockchain related organization, this is the place to be doubling down and other social media blockchain integrated or fully-based platforms.

So if we had analytics, language and or geotargeting for boosting, we could really get things going to take over these major networks for appeal to big influencers and brands.

Let me know what you think and share your successes compared to other networks :)
