Why 2010?

I'm finally delivering on a promise I made back in March of this year: If you love photographs, set yours free!

I find the simple things around me in my daily life very interesting. Interesting enough to photograph. I am not an artist. I am more of a "photojournalist" that likes to photograph the ordinary.

The recent wildfires we've experienced in my neighborhood made me realize how easy it would have been to lose all my photographs. Yes, I have plenty of backups of them, but none offsite. And in a fire emergency, you don't have the time to collect and save anything.

My recent acquisition of a photo processing software also made it an easy decision to start going through my favorite photos, process them, store them in the cloud, and share some of them here in MINDS.

But why start sharing photos I took starting in February 2010? I have plenty of pictures taken before then, but this was the date I acquired my first (and only) full-frame digital SLR which I still own and use today.

In the time-frame since then, I have been to a lot of places and taken lots of photographs. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
