[If you have not read part 1 to my September 2019 Forecast, click here.]
First of all, this Full Moon everyone is nutting themselves about... isn't that serious. I am tired of people going wild during this phase thinking that just because the surface of the moon facing the earth is lighted means wondrous spiritual things are going to take place. If anything, the moon is almost specifically tied to the physical, material reality. After all, it represents the mother, home, defensiveness, emotions and reactions. These are all very difficult to get past to reach the true inner self. In fact we must first master our emotions and reactions to settle the inner life and become more balanced. The Full Moon is literally opposed to that idea, being the moment when most people's emotional nature runs wildly and unpredictably (hence the term lunatic, or the werewolf's bestial nature exhibiting during this phase). Experienced astrologers know that even eclipses don't have any significant affect on a chart if it doesn't hit a planet or angle.
Full Moons happen at least once every month. The significance of a full moon really lies in the personal goal that anyone can set at the beginning of the moon's cycle at the New Moon. If you have set any intention around the beginning of this month, honoring the new moon phase, then now is the time when you will see a culmination of that intention. Things start to manifest and your wishes become observable. It is less likely that you will experience a deeply profound spiritual experience during this time... unless this full moon aspects a natal planet in your chart.
That being said, if this full moon DOES hit your chart, there is a conjunction to Neptune in Pisces that will reveal any hidden emotions in your life, depending on what house it falls in and what planets it contacts. Mars in Virgo is opposed to Neptune as well. In English, when we work for others we can feel whether that work is appreciated or if we are disposable.
[Remember that oppositions signal an awareness born from our interactions with other people, those interactions being further signaled by the planets involved. Mars rules action, ego, aggression; Neptune rules love, dissolution, deception.]
It should be mentioned that if we are not acting consciously during this time and simply living day-to-day, this transit can alternatively mean getting lost in the sauce. Perhaps Mars is so busy getting work done that he deceives himself, ignoring the signs that his work and effort could be put to better use elsewhere. It could also mean others aren't being honest with our work, congratulating us on accomplishments but secretly knowing that our current actions lead to a dead end. Either way, illusions are a major part of this full moon.
[Once again, this only really affects you if this full moon or the Mars-Neptune opposition hits any natal planets in your chart. Otherwise, it's a passing fad for you.]
Jupiter shines in his home sign of Sagittarius making it even harder to admit the truth as he forms a T-square with both the full moon and Mars-Neptune opposition. T-squares are powerful aspects of irritation that push us to action. In part 1 of the September forecast, we talked about the similar nature of Jupiter and Neptune in astrology and their square to each other. Now add in a fiery hot, arrogant, egotistical energy into the mix. Suddenly things get personal really quickly. Mars-Jupiter transits are typically advantageous moments, but in this case where Jupiter is in the overconfident, overcompensating sign of Sagittarius, we tend to misjudge a lot of things. Mars makes us hasty, impatient, quick to point fingers, eager to accept recognition, and let's not forget that Neptune covers all this action with his veils of illusion. The middle of the month is this hazy episode where the mental activity is just confused and unclear.
If things are going positively, then spiritual practices should yield high results during this time. The only advice to give is to not get swept away by being too optimistic of the good times. Realism is right around the corner (the approaching conjunction of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn). If anything, this is a great time to plan and make sure all your ducks are in a row. Preparation is a great tactic at any time.
All this activity happens right before Mercury and Venus hold hands as they pass over into Libra on September 15. Our thinking becomes more balanced, fair, diplomatic and business-oriented. We prefer to not rock the boat in social situations, letting discrepancies settle rather than point them out. Something about Libra puts us in an easy-going mood that, if the environment is willing, makes life so much more enjoyable. After all, this sign represents the fine arts, music, and in general more mature and refined entertainment than Taurus. Alternatively, we could push troublesome topics that need to be talked about under the rug, causing us trouble later as the sun-tanned duo moves into Scorpio later in the year.
September 23 sees the entrance of the Sun into Libra, marking the autumnal equinox. We may be more considerate of others in all regards during the sun's transit in Libra. Nothing astrologically significant happens on this day.
We started off talking pretty condescendingly about the moon's phases in this post, but let's end it on a positive note. The new moon on September 28 has some intense power to help heal ourselves, seen by the opposition to Chiron moonwalking (read: retrograde) slowly through Aries.
Chiron is the wounded healer, who was a renown healer but unable to cure his own sickness. In astrology we interpret this as where we experience pain and trauma and as a result are able to advise others so they can avoid or heal that pain for themselves. This new moon would be a perfect time to set an intention for healing ourselves (Aries represents the self). Whatever your pain may be for you, the Jupiter-Neptune energy we've been experiencing all month long may alert you to a few red flags in your relationships with others. Perhaps you are too giving, too kind, and others have taken advantage of your because of your compassionate nature.
You may also be in a great place in your relationships at the moment, in which case an intention can be set to help others go through their own pain. Sometimes just being there is enough to help another go through his or her trials. It is as great to heal ourselves as it is to be there for our friends and family as they bear their own burdens. This is a prime time to show your value as a companion (emphasis on Libra).
That ends the forecast for September 2019. I will try to upload the forecast for October much sooner than this month's. If you found any value whatsoever from this article, please like, share and consider wiring some tokens. Anythings helps in its own way.
