I am writing about society, identity, culture, the past, present and future from a Uralic point of view.
We, the Uralic peoples, are the indigenous nations of northern Eurasia. The Uralic nation-states are Finland, Estonia and Hungary, but many more nations live f.ex. in Russia, such as the Erzya, Mari, Udmurt and Nenets. There are about 25 million Uralic people, but like other indigenous peoples around the world, we want to continue our way of life in the modern world.
