I been letting this Idea ferment in my mind, and I think its time
for me to share and let everyone taste it and see if its ready...
As everyone knows that I been doing these video edits of our open mic readings, and then making clips. We have something special going on here. The creativity that is between all of our expression is something else.
Last Night I finally posted the full final sequence of readings and discussion of the first Open Mic Night. Which is a nice lil digital artifact for us to revisit and muse on. Also it's something we can share with outside people, to try to give them the experience of what the fuck is going on. Because we can tell them and they will roll their eyes, or we can show them, and hopefully the feel and see what we do. And if they don't then this is not for them and now we know...
I think its time we send out lil digital bottles of our poetic expression out into the digital sea. It's up for each one of us to make our own discussion on these matters. This is why I try my best to send out your videos and audio from the open mic. If you need your's message me. But open up your own youtube, bitchute or whatever the fuck else account and plant a flag there and say hey I am here and my crew runs deep. All you creative freaks want a place to have fun and make something cool, come follow me to The Minds Poetry Group.
But I guess we should all start considering when we live stream during Open Mic as "Free Cultural Work" licensed as Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike. This means you can do whatever you want with it but you have to give me credit and share your use of it with others under the same license.
Live streaming of poetry and discussion will run from 1:30-2:00 hrs at around 2 hrs I will end live stream(please live stream to your account too!), but whatever happens pre-live stream or after hours, is just for us. So if you have a poem that maybe you don't want out there, you can share it after I turn things off or you can simply let me know. I been keeping the live stream unlisted for about a week, and the same with the clips. That gives first release to minds, and if any poet doesn't want something out there they can let me know. Also all visual/audio videos of the poetry readings get released first in group. That video along with your 'clean' audio is what I send to you via Wetransfer. I suggest after at least a week to post it on your minds channel so you have it kind of archive, but totally up to you.
If anyone wants to get a lil crazy and think about producing their own videos, go for it, just let me know. And we can work something out, you suggest a instrumental track, visuals, or I send you the audio of your reading. Anything and everything is on the table. But fair warning sometimes I get in creative cyclone and will drop the ball from time to time, but I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I been doing my best to have links that lead back to group and everyone's poem post. And if there are personal webpages and/or projects one is doing, please share those links, so we can be mindful of that. Ex) on Mac's video clips on youtube I put a link back to his Mechanics of Reincarnation. Things like that can in the near future will be important.
One last thing, I know my weakness is on descriptions of things. After I edit one of these, I'm usually on to the next one. So anyone that wants to summarize, review, put a poetic spin on things, please let me know. Also as we move forward depending on interest and involvement I would like to add more and more poets as co-admins of the youtube channel.
But we have yet to begin on this collaborative creative journey into the heart of hyperspace. I think the more we are open and connect with each other (with in reason, its still the internets) the better it will be for us individually and then naturally for the group as well.
Please comment, rant and raving about this.
And now for the show:
