There is no “Consent of the governed” when the governed cannot refuse consent. Criminal law is not civil. The idea that people should be punished for doing no harm to anyone is uncivil, unreasonable and barbaric. As long as taxation is not voluntary, the taxpayer cannot possibly be represented through taxes. Voting does not represent the voter. State schools cannot possibly prepare students to survive in the real world of free markets. All schools should be private. There is no essential service the state provides that cannot be provided by private means, and that done cheaper and by actually representing the interests of consumers. Criminal law is not civil. Criminal law concentrates on punishment which usually does not fit the offense and gives little or no heed to restoring those who have suffered harm.
