Controlling Your Minds Newsfeed

I spend a lot of time in my newsfeed because I like to see everything posted by the channels I subscribe to. Without missing anything.

The newsfeed is the Minds homepage. So I am surprised that the Help Desk does not have a section on it.

There are 4 ways to control your newsfeed.

You can use the Hashtags on the left. I haven't figured out how to use it. Every time I click on any part of it, it brings me to the Discovery page. Besides, how many Minds users actually use hashtags? So I don't use it.

The first post that shows up in your newsfeed is the boosted post (unless you select not to show boosted pages if you're a Minds Plus user.)

I select to show "E" NSFW posts because Minds tags certain channels and all the channel's posts with an "E" regardless of whether the post deserves it or not. And I don't want to miss anything.

I also select Auto-rotate off because I couldn't stand my newsfeed scrolling up and down depending on the length of the boosted page currently shown.

The final and most important way of controlling your newsfeed is subscriptions, specifically the channels you subscribe to. Remember that your newsfeed contains boosted pages, your posts (BTW, I don't need to see my own posts in my newsfeed - I can see them in my channel), and posts made by the channels you subscribe to.

Minds has stated that the filtering and algorithm types available in Discovery will be coming to newsfeed and channel displays. The filters are currently inclusive. I would love to see the choice of excluding certain types of posts from my newsfeed.
