Your newsfeed is your Minds home. It includes boosted posts, your posts, and the posts of the channels you subscribe to. Sorted in reverse chronological order, the latest posts first. I spend most of my Minds time here.
Search/Discovery is like your newsfeed but it includes almost all of Minds. Another difference is filtering and algorithm types. I spend very little time here because I just don't have the time for discovery and search doesn't seem to work.
Your channel contains all your posts including reminds. This is probably the second place where I spend my Minds time. Mainly to verify what I've already posted.
Your groups contain the ones you've created and joined. It also includes a real-time "group chat" facility. The only group I've joined is Help & Support. I've found groups to be useless to me because I just don't have the time. My interests vary with time. And I just don't have much time to check the groups individually. And I don't want groups cluttering my newsfeed. Much less participate in the gatherings (I think that's what the real-time chat is called.)
Then there is messenger where one can "chat" with another user real-time. Again, I just don't have time for this feature and I very rarely use it.
I'm probably one of the very few users who go through the entire newsfeed every day. The reason why I say "few" is because other people just don't have the time (I'm retired so I have more time than others) and/or energy.
Maybe I'm using Minds all wrong. But it's my Safari browser Minds workflow. More on this and my observations later.
