Hello, everyone, it's time for Journal Entry #6, from my RPG journey. This one will be from the P.O.V. of Brianna, the Monk of the Order of the Broken Ones. Enjoy.

By Illmatar and Selune's good graces, when I left the monastery of my Order to find my own way in the world I had no idea of the adventure I would be in for with Helmite Paladin Brannon.

Targos may be safe but the Legion of the Chimera is still out there. So at the behest of Ulbrec Dinnesmare we were to take Oswald Fiddlebender's airship to go meet with the Neverwinter troops. so as to put an end to this threat to the Dale. Yet as has been the case with this group trouble always seems to find us.

Having purchased everything we'd wanted to from Targos we boarded Oswald's airship for the journey. Yet even as we did I had this strangest feeling that we wouldn't be seeing Targos again until this was over.

How prophetic those words were! As we flew towards the rendezvous point in the Western Pass a storm formed as if by it's own volition. Oswald told us to take cover below. As we descended I swear as Illlmatar and Selune as my witness I saw what looked like men or women on a mountainside whipping their hands in what looked like magical patterns.

The ship bucked against the storm even as Oswald avoided the worst of it by flying low. However that's where our luck ended. The moment we heard the Corpse cloth tear Brannon yelled, "Grab something!"

The fall while it was only seconds seemed to last forever and I felt as if this would be the end of my life. Then we felt the impact and I blacked out!

.

When I came to, like the others, I discovered the airship was damaged more then ever and there had been recent signs of a fight with some Boring beetles. And that was only the tip of the trials and tribulations we faced.

Mali spent much of her time at the Western Pass dealing with traps laid down. We had to fight off a spider ambush, I've always hated spiders! We managed to come across one Captain Yurst of Luskan and discovered the troops from Luskan had ben ambushed by a large pack of wyverns led by a dragon woman. We managed to help ease Yurst's suffering but his body was too far gone, however before he left for the next world Yurst left us with valuable information. And for our efforts Oswald was able to give us some good material including some Boring beetle full plate armor for Brannon, Dar'Kandra, and Garrett. A set of Winter Wolf boots for Mali, and Yeti boots for myself, both sets of boots designed to ward of the chill.

Next we went to a village called Andora and dealt with worshippers of Auril and their Druid protector. Brannon approached them in peace. But when Brannon returned, the story he told made us realize we wouldn't get through this without a fight. Brannon was unable to convince the Ranger protector to let us pass ...and that's when he saw the face of the one called Sherincal. What Brannon revealed when he returned to the group chilled me to the very bone! Sherincal, our enemy, is a Half-Dragon! I'd read books in the library of the monastery on such creatures, the half-breed spawn of a dragon and a human possessing characteristics of both parents and welcomed in neither world! I cannot help but think, "What other nightmarish abominations have aligned themselves with this Legion of the Chimera?"

Forced to fight for our lives against the Aurilites and their Ranger protector it proved to be a tough fight, Illum Ar'Ghrenoir was truly a fearsome foe. As it turned up he possessed a magical crossbow that was incredibly powerful. Mali has taken possession of it. This will make my roguish new friend deadlier than ever. We also gained a whole bunch of magical items and some ingredients needed to fix Oswald's ship. We then encountered Beodawn and his followers. They had some magical material but none of it really useful. Then I noticed that there was a Wolf Den nearby that looked like it had recently been used. As it turned up Beodawn and his followers were Malarites. Beodawn was a Greater Werewolf. We had to kill him and his followers as they attacked us.

With all the equipment Oswald had to offer and all the components for Osaald's spell gathered he performed it even as we caught some sleep. The next day were headed out. Oswald decided he would find his own way to the pass while we found our own way through. I suspect our path will be much more harrowing.

Next up we came to the area of that temple we saw from the air. There we received a cold welcome from Aurilites and some Uthgardt Barbarians who packed quite the wallop! We even took down a Remorhaz, or Polar Worm. However in our trek thus far we've come across a request for help from someone named Zack. there's been mention of someone named Nathaniel, also information on the body of a dead Aurilite indicates that the enemy has a Remorhaz Queen, and that it's mating season is upon it.

Terrax has been laughing in a fashion I find most unpleasant. The Sorcerer is up to something. Tonight when we camp he says he has a plan he wishes to discuss with the group. I still do not trust that Thayvian but under the circumstances we may have to go along with whatever crazy scheme he has. I only hope it sees us through this crisis. I will stay close to the Helmite who leads this group, and pray the Thayvian does not betray us.

There you go I hope yopu enjoyed it. If you liked this blog entry please let me know in the comments section below. If you think I need to improve, let me know how I need to do so in the comments section below.
