*First thoughts are: They are both awful people and candidates, and I'm going to vote for Jo Jorgensen.
*The both did terrible in the debate, but Trump did especially terrible.
*Trump missed soo many opportunities to call Biden on his BS and dodged questions, because he was so busy carrying on like a 2 year old who didn't get his way.
*A few examples:
-Biden brought up early about Trump using the tax code to avoid paying taxes. Then a short time later, while speaking about weatherizing buildings to make them more energy efficient, and people can use tax credits to help pay for it. How on Earth did Trump not point out the hypocrisy, and explain using tax credits and write offs to improve real estate is exactly what he did. And he could have asked Biden if he would be OK with Trump using tax credits and write offs to improve his hotels.
-Biden said he didn't support the Green New Deal, he supported the Biden plan...How do you let someone get away with saying something like that without asking them to explain the differences? And Trump should have pushed Biden to get into the specifics of why he doesn't like the GND and use it to create a wedge issue with his climate voters.
-Instead of shouting "he'll shut the country down" 300 times while Biden was speaking, Trump could have explained to viewers a very simple thing: Biden is complaining about a recession, but if we lock things down again, the recession will get worse. It's what caused the recession.
-Hell Trump didn't even bother to defend himself because he was so busy acting like a buffoon. When Biden brought up the military/loser comments, Trump could have easily pointed out that everyone with him that day denied it ever happened. Instead he complained about his sons drug use, and then mixed his two sons up in terms of getting foreign money. Plus it was a golden opportunity to point out Biden voted to send his own son in harms way for a pointless war.
-Trump's biggest flop was the white supremacist question. I get that Wallace purposely threw in militia members and proud boys into the denunciation question, knowing Trump wouldn't throw them under the bus, but how hard would it have been for Trump to say: You can find videos of me denouncing white supremacy dozens of times, and I do it again now, but I believe in the 2nd amendment, so as far as "militia" members, as long as they're peacefully protesting, there's no need to denounce them.
-Plus if he wasn't going to act stately, and be himself, Trump should have brought up things like the kid sniffing, using the term build back better like all the other globalist leaders, etc.
*Those are just a few examples, there were others. And these weren't Monday morning quarterbacking, as Joe was speaking these replies could have been thought of by most people. Except for Trump apparently. He blew this debate, and he blew it hard.
