Aging Isn’t For Sissies

My dad said the other day, “Aging isn’t for sissies”. There is definitely some brilliance in those words!

There is nothing easy about aging. Body parts you were never even aware of, become glaringly obvious… mostly because they start hurting. Things that used to cause no grief, cause all kinds of stress.

It is so hard watching my parents get older. It is hard getting older myself.

On the upside, it is absolutely adorably, seeing my parents flirt with each other, get into heated discussions about politics and religion, and sometimes about family members. My parents, as they age, bring a smile to my face every time I get a glimpse into their private world.

But always remember, aging ain’t for sissies…..
