The Shovelnose Sturgeon also known as the Hackleback Sand Sturgeon or Switchtail is a species of freshwater sturgeon native to the United States and is listed as vulnerable.

Reasons for vulnerable status - Habitat fragmentation, poaching, overfishing, water pollution.
