The Saint Vincent Parrot or the Saint Vincent Amazon is a parrot native to St Vincent and is listed as vulnerable.

Reasons for Vulnerable Status - Hunting (food, pet trade), deforestation (banana cultivation, charcoal production), natural events ( hurricanes, volcanic eruptions), introduced species (nine-banded armadillo).

Conservation efforts - After a historic low of only around 400 birds in the wild, the St. Vincent Amazon population recovered due to measures targeting illegal trade, habitat protection, and education of the local human population.
