The Oblong Turtle or also known as the Southwestern Snake-necked Turtle or Narrow-breasted Snake-necked Turtle is a species of turtle native to Australia and is listed as near-threatened.

Reasons for near-threatened status - Feral animals, pet trade, habitat loss.

Conservation efforts - They live in protected areas, and there are breeding programs in place and it is illegal to capture and keep as pets.

Size:  40 cm 

Weight: 1 - 2 kg

Native locations: Australia 

Lifespan: 80 years
