The Jaguar is a large felid species native to South and North America is currently listed as near-threatened. 

Reasons for near-threatened status - Habitat loss, habitat fragmentation, poaching, conflict with humans.

Conservation efforts - It's prohibited to trade Jaguar body parts and is the Jaguar also lives in national parks across the Americas.
