The Gharial or also known as the Gavial or Fish-eating Crocodile is a species of crocodilian native to Asia and is listed as critically endangered. 

Reasons for critically endangered status - Hunting, habitat loss, bycatching.

Conservation efforts - They live in protected areas and their reintroduction programs are in place.
