The Celebes Crested Macaque or also known as the Crested Black Macaque, Sulawesi Crested Macaque, or the Black Ape is a species of monkey native to Sulawesi Island (Indonesia) and is listed as critically endangered.
Reasons for critically endangered status - Hunted for food, habitat loss.
Conservation efforts - They live in protected areas, but they are still being hunting outside their protected areas.
