Escaping Ideological Polarization

The problem with today’s society is that we are almost forced to be polarized. We are forced to take sides on political and social matters without consciously considering all the facts. We are blasted with biased views using fake truths and misleading conclusions to 'scientific studies'. We are criticized for even questioning the flawed ideologies, leaving no room for the exchange of ideas and informed dialogue.

What can we do about it? Observe everything and change our minds.

Allow the blind to follow the blind, but don’t let ourselves fall into that trap. Remain impartial and base our own worldview and opinions on the facts, the real facts. We should be open to changing our minds if new facts present themselves, that’s the beauty of the scientific method. There should be no loyalty to an idea if it cannot hold up to scrutiny. We must be brutal with our evaluation of the world, so that we can live a life based on objective truth and not subjective loyalty.
