Taking A Look At The New DTube Platform

If you use DTube, then you may notice they have rolled out a lot of new changes, including uploading videos from external sources, A DTube coin and testnet, as well as many UI and feature upgrades.

In this video, I go through the changes and briefly show you what they are and how to use the new platform. One of the most notable things is that you can use DTube to earn DTC whilst still earning Steem given you are logged into both accounts. This will allow you to use DTC to boost your content on DTube which will then help you earn more Steem via the Steem blockchain side of things. This will enable DTube users to get their content out to more users than they could have just using Steem by itself. Another major change is there is only one tag that you apply to your video with a vote and then other viewers can vote on tags that are the most relevant. This way you cannot abuse tags and the viewers decide what is the most accurate. This could be trolled and abused, but is a very interesting concept and I’m curious to see how it will play out.

Note that you can go and still edit your Steemit post linking to DTube and add three more tags along with the tag you had and the default “dtube” tag that is added to the post to ensure you still get all the visibility you are aiming for on Steemit.
