Nostalgia at the fishing lake of Palotás, Hungary

When I was a child, we had a small wooden house at the fishing lake in Palotás, Hungary. It was about 25 years ago. We spent every weekend there with the family. Dad likes to fishing and at that time I too. In the past, there was no electricity or water in the cottages. The lighting worked on two 12 volt automotive batteries, water was carried out from the well and cooking with gas bottle. Unfortunately we had to sell this holiday home.

This was our wooden house. Unfortunately, it is now very neglected.

Do you believe in coincidences? One of my colleagues was buying a site there some months ago and invited us to angling. The surrounding area of ​​the lake did not change much, only trees and shrubs grew much larger. The electricity and the water were introduced to the cottages.

The lake of Palotás is located in Nógrád County, 58 km from Budapest. The lake has an area of ​​63 ha and its average water depth is 2.5 meters. On the lake you can go fishing all year round, day and night. Except at the time of the tournaments. There are cottages on the east coast of the lake.
