Nationalism VS Globalism

There are at least two ways to view everything under the sun. Perspective changes details and it changes how we consider the world. Looking at a simple advertisement from a simple consumer's view, we see a product being sold, but putting on Social Justice Warrior lenses, we might see some slight or injustice toward a minority, gender, or so forth. It's all in how you look at what you are studying. So your perspective colors how the world appears to you. I only mention this because a topic such as the one I am about to cover is VERY influenced by perspective.

To a Liberal, Globalism makes sense because we should all be one glorious whole, working together in unison for the benefit of all mankind. They do not see the inherent flaws in this argument that a Conservative or a Moderate perceives. Globalism as we imagine it (Like as in Star Trek or some other Science Fiction) seems to run smoothly out of sheer force of collective will. The best of mankind seems to have outsmarted the worst of mankind and subdued the baser natures of those who would do wrong and cheat the system. In reality, though, doing away with borders and centralizing government encourages people to flee poverty and advance towards where prosperity is present rather than industrializing and putting effort into their own locations and making them prosper.

When too many people crowd into one place, you get what has happened in our major cities: Overpopulation, ridiculously high homeless rates, disease, overflowing garbage, massive crime, and a disproportionate amount of people on welfare. Here, we have the added burden of illegal immigrants who refuse to integrate, waving the flag of the country they are proud of, and yet they are fleeing for fear of their lives. It's very confusing, if not telling that they aren't really as persecuted as they are making it seem.

But I digress. National borders help nations enforce their laws and maintain their cultural identity. Globalism seeks to put an end to borders and would see an end to cultural diversity, whether they like to admit it, or not. Eventually, everyone would adapt into a single culture that would most likely be dominantly Chinese and Muslim. One only needs to look at the statistics to figure out that because of birthrates and global population, Chinese and Muslim population would consume every other identity in a truly global environment. I am not a Globalist.

I am a Nationalist. I am also White, but sedate thy mammaries, I am NOT a White Nationalist. That's something entirely different. I do believe that we should secure a future for White children, but not at the expense of other peoples or cultures. Carrying on, however; I believe that the Nation should be proud of itself and its accomplishments. I believe in being patriotic and being proud of the Flag, the National Anthem, and our Soldiers. I believe in our Constitution and the amendments that protect our God-Given rights.

Now, there is truth that Nationalism is somewhat problematic to some people, being that for a nation to survive, other nations must, at times, be given the short end of the stick so that our nation might prosper, but I do not believe that we have our boot upon the neck of any country in particular. Correct me if I am wrong, I do tend not to be informed of EVERYTHING being only mortal. I think the duty of our representatives in the House and Congress, and indeed the President, is to America First. This is why I've drifted away from Democratic tendencies; well, one reason. We'll get into that more in another blog.

So, for my money, I am more for Nationalism than Globalism, though I can see some advantages in the latter. It would certainly work out better for EVERYONE if we could get Globalism to work like it does on paper, but, like Socialism (mostly because Globalism IS Socialism), it doesn't work the same way in reality.
