Are we on our path to Type I civilization?

Today we have a global communication tool - the Internet, we are harvesting Solar energy, one global cryptocurrency is coming soon ( I hope it will be BTC, not Libra).
We have BTC as a GOLD 2.0 at this point, how long before we become more mature - Type I civilization?
BTC is one of the first steps in that direction, hopefully not the last.
