I was on a bus when I noticed a house for sale. Old house that probably needs a lot of love and care. I thought that it would be nice to own it. To paint it in a colors I like, decorate it, make my own space. That made me think that I don't have home! Am I homeless?

Sure I have place to live, but it's not my home. It's somebody's else home and they can tell me to move out if that would be their wish. Once it actually happened to us. We needed to pack and leave place we were calling home. Most of stuff we sold and took just some with us to new place.

We hear in songs about coming back home. We say sometimes that we feel like home. But what is that home? Where is home?

Is it some building that one own or we lived in in the past? Building that can burn to ground? How this can be place where we can be safe if it can fall apart at any time? How this can be our home, refuge from storms of life if we can not relay on it completely?

Home must be some kind of space where we feel relaxed, ourselves, free, comfortable, safe and warm. But where is it? Is there any space like that in the world that we can relay on and find refuge in?

Where do we generate feelings of safety and all the other associated with feeling of home? Inside! If we will keep this feelings alive and let them grow inside us independently on external world we will be home no matter where we are and what we own.

I realized I am not homeless after all. I take my home with me wherever I go. I work hard to keep it clean and tidy by throwing away all the unnecessary garbage. This space inside me is my home where I can find peace.

Take care of your home too and yourself.
