≽ Ignorance Ignorance is the mother of all evil. ≽ Ignorance will eventuate in death, because those who come from ignorance neither were nor are nor will be. ≽ But those who are in the truth will be perfect when all the truth is revealed. ≽ For truth is like ignorance: while hidden it rests in itself, but when revealed and recognized, it is praised in that it is stronger than ignorance and error. ≽ It gives freedom. The word said, “If you know the truth, the truth will make you free.” Ignorance is a slave, knowledge is freedom. ≽ If we know the truth, we shall find the fruits of the truth within us. ≽ If we join it, it will fulfill us.

⋙ The Self This is your true self, this archetype represents the union of the conscious and unconscious(Alchemical Marriage). In non Jungain terms, this could lead to knowledge and conversation of the Higher Self or the Holy Guardian Angel in other terms. The union occurs through individuation. When every part of one’s personality is expressed equally and all of it is whole. When this happens, the individual has a balanced psyche. ⋙ The Self is represented as a circle, mandala, or square, and these can show up in dreams. Jung claims the aim of every person is to achieve a state of selfhood and he is right. This is also a spiritual humanist approach similar to the psychologist Erikson’s humanist approach. When the conscious and subconscious/unconscious are in a union(yoga), there is a cross communication with the subconscious and conscious mind. You attain information latent within your subconscious and become extremely intuitive as well. You also think in a fused intuitive and intellectual way, both simultaneously. Your intuition gives you answers and the intuition is always right. This is a psychic and Jung calls it psychic totality. Zarathustra, Buddha, Jesus, God, and many other figures can also be archetypes for the Self. You also get to be the person you want to be, by being able to reprogram your subconscious much easier. ⋙ nosce te ipsum
