Sometimes specific needs lead to inspiration. A lack of available wall space, a need for hooks, and just a bit of tray space for small items led me to sketch out a few ideas, which led to this creation. It's constructed from laser-cut 1/4-inch plywood.
The interlocking I-Beam construction gives the hooks plenty of strength to hold up my all vests and jackets even when they have significant hardware in their pockets.
Just two metal screws to secure the tray to the wall and a bit of wood glue is all you need to put this together.
Plenty of strength to hold up my heavy jackets and vests. I'll likely sand and paint the next ones I build, but for the lab, unpainted looks good.
