In today's world, people are craving genuinely good and positive personalities. There is a place that we recently found where you can find that plus some great coffee and treats.

Nerdy Native and wife, Nerdy Nordic, are big fans of Kent Rollins. If you don't know who Kent Rollins is you need to get educated. If you like food, you're going to love Kent.

A few weeks ago, Kent mentioned on one of this videos that he and Shannon were going to open a Cowboy Coffee shop in Wellington, Texas. This past week I brought the Nerdy Drone Fleet for a drone job to a ranch outside of Wellington. Showing up a little early to meet with my contact, I remembered what Kent said. My intern and I went on a scouting trip to see if we could find evidence of this new shop. Lo and behold, we found it, and it was OPEN! They had a soft opening earlier in the week.

While I sat in the car, Kent himself pulled into the parking spot next to me. The Kent you love online is the same Kent you meet in person. The next day, I and my wife returned to Wellington to spend a little time enjoying what they had to offer.

The Cowboy Coffee shop has that cowboy look and feel with a good selection on the menu.

All the treats are homemade from Kent's recipes. If you don't see it behind the glass, ask and they might have it in the kitchen. The cookies are awesome!

You also get to see Kent's YouTube play buttons. He's currently well on his way to 2 million subs.

We were fortunate to chat with Kent's wife, Shannon, who I suspect is the brains behind Kent's YouTube success.

Shannon gave us a tour of the back room and shared their plans for the back porch. Kent will cook, people will watch and learn, and everybody will eat great food.

I am a storm chaser. The area surrounding Wellington is a popular place to set up and wait for storms to fire in the Spring. I'm calling it now, Cowboy Coffee will be a popular storm chaser hangout.

Shannon shared a funny story about the first time she had to take cover in the cellar when Kent was out of town.

It just so happens that me and my wife were close by chasing tornadoes that day.

If you're lucky, Kent will sit down with you and tell you some great stories. Kent wasn't named "Best Cowboy Humorist and Storyteller of the Year" by the Academy of Western Artists for nothing!

It's so nice to meet people who are great at bringing joy and goodness to the world. Just go ahead and make plans to divert your next trip along I-40 to go through Wellington. Tell them that Nerdy Native sent you.
