Japan accepted bitcoin
The FINSUM 2019 conference kicked off in Japan, where cryptocurrency enthusiast Anthony Pompliano spoke. He talked with representatives of the country’s regulator and noted the friendliness of Japan to cryptocurrencies.
Anthony Pompliano met with senior executives of the Japan Financial Services Agency (FSA), agency commissioner Toshihide Endo, and director of financial technology and innovation Jumpei Miwa. And the FSA was committed to the first cryptocurrency and scalability solution Bitcoin Lightning Network.
“They have a fairly clear regulatory framework and they want to see the success of Bitcoin and LN. They separately emphasized their opinion that open blockchains will win, and they hope to become a world leader in the development of such technologies, ”said Pompliano on Twitter.
Recently, the chairman and CEO of the Japanese brokerage company Monex Group, Oki Matsumoto, noted that Japan is becoming an increasingly cryptocurrency friendly country.
