In order to interact with the Ethereum blockchain and the decentralized web, you must first create a web3 wallet and connect it to your Minds account.
If you already have a web3 wallet, skip ahead to step 2. If you do not, then it is easy to create one.
Minds currently supports the following web3 wallets:
Choose a provider above and follow the onboarding process to create your very own web3 wallet. These allow you to access crypto assets across many different platforms that are integrated with web3.
Don't worry, it is easier than you think and just takes a few minutes.
Once you have created your web3 wallet, you are ready to connect it to the Minds network.
To connect a wallet, go to the navigation menu and select Wallet (make sure you have the Tokens tab selected).
From here, press the Connect Wallet button which will open the following:
Select the web3 client you chose in Step 1.
Follow any additional instructions and then open up your web3 client. For mobile apps, install the mobile app for the web3 client you have chosen.
(Note: Connect Wallet feature not yet supported on iOS devices)
Once you open your web3 client, you will be prompted to Sign a message that connects your web3 wallet to your Minds username.
This ensures that you can use MINDS on-chain and that the Minds network can properly track any Liquidity and Holding rewards.
After you sign the message in your web3 client, your wallet is now connected to your Minds account.
Please note that your web3 address will now be publicly tied to your Minds username. You may wish to use a secondary web3 address for this reason.
You are ready to go, nice job!
