Antartida the lost Continent?

"Three things that are not hidden for long: The Sun, the Moon and the Truth." - Buddha

It was in the sixteenth century the beginning of the first documented explorations of the continent.

But it was only in the twentieth century that man managed to reach the south pole.

The South Pole is the southernmost point on Earth.

The continent has 14 million square kilometers.

It is the coldest, driest continent, with the highest average altitude and highest index of strong winds on the planet.

Legally, Antarctica is subject to the Antarctic Treaty, whereby the various nations claiming territories on the continent agreed to suspend their claims, opening the continent to scientific exploration.

There are 29 countries and more than one thousand permanent scientists.

Glaciologists, astrophysicists, physicians, biologists, geologists, astronomers, oceanographers and physicists are the experts who conduct various types of experiments and analyzes.

So I stay and wonder, where are these data?

Who is occulting information?

They are at least a century of exploitation and very little public information.

We know that there are various theories and narratives around the continent and the likelihood of evidence on the existence of alien life.

Narratives like Lake Vostok.

And these theories indicate traces of alien life recently discovered.

Right now some countries decide how they will handle it.

A few months ago, the US president mentioned that he would make a statement about extraterrestrial life.

Many believe in extraterrestrial life.

Many believe that evidence is already hidden from us.

Evidence that in theory would change humanity.

An evolutionary leap.

It would be the end of a paradigm that permeates the human mind for centuries.

We are alone?

But some believe that this information would have consequences.

They would overthrow some concepts and dogmas.

I think above all people deserve to know the truth.

Ever.

But some prefer to remain ignorant.

It keeps them safe from the truth.

Into your little world of safe lies.

So we're better prepared for new discoveries.

And who knows new events.

The name Antarctica is the romanized version of the Greek compound word ἀνταρκτική (antarktiké), feminine of ἀνταρκτικός (antarktikos), meaning "opposite to the Arctic", "opposite to the north".

However, the Antártida form was conventionally adopted, both in Portugal and in Brazil, even though it contradicts the etymological origin of the toponym.

One possible explanation would be the analogy with the mythical Atlantis, something that occurs in the same way in Castilian, in which the two forms, Antártida and Antarctica, also coexist, being the first one of more widespread use. In Italian language, in turn, there is only the record of Antartide, also coined on the model of Atlantide (Atlantis).

In Brazil, the conventional form was Antártida until the mid-1970s, when the Antarctic form gained momentum after being used in academic works on the continent, such as the book Towards Antarctica by the geographer Teresinha de Castro, published in 1976.
