I was just thinking about cat haters. I am watching a TV show and the dialog alluded to cat people being cold. This is typical. It amazes me the way people seem to have such hatred for cats and think dogs are better. I see it all the time, loud heavy handed people come stomping along and the cat runs off or crouches in fear. The baffoons take this personally as rejection and therefore resent the cat not able to comprehend the sensitive nature of cats.
I find all this sad because if you think about it the most primal urge we all have from childhood is when we see the cute animal we want to touch the cute animal. You cannot do this with the cute squirrel, it is not ever going to come down from the tree for you. Birds do not like being touched either. The rabbit is adorable yet completely unconcerned about being petted. The dog, everyone's favourite, freezes with fear when you touch it because he takes having a paw placed on it as a sign of dominance. You touch your dog and think it's loving, but he is actually afraid you are displaying power over him because he screwed up. Out of all God's creation, the one animal literally designed to fulfill your desire to touch the cute furry critter is the cat. And like 60% of people hate cats. Maybe more.
