I know what "blog" stands for: It is a "web log", usually of articles. A log is collection of items, e.g, posts. On minds.com, in the FAQ and Help section, they make no distinction between a blog and a blog post. For a tech company, this is hard to believe... but so it is.
Having gone through the motions of creating my first blog post, there is still no indication of how these articles will appear on my section of minds.com. The Help doc has no graphics. If you search out someone who has written blog posts and you will see there is a separate window under the "Wire Me", Rewards, and Images Section.
Ex: This guy has a bunch of blog posts so you can see what they look like (left sidebar): https://www.minds.com/scottcbusiness
It seems to me you should use the Blog (post) feature for items that you want to highlight and "stick" to your minds.com page. In fact, most of the posts I made so far about travel photos should have been posted as a blog (post).
To create a new blog (post): There is a link under the normal posting box that says "CREATE BLOG". You will only create a single blog post. My suggestion for new caption of this link is "BLOG POST".
Hopefully this blog (post) will be outdated soon, but I hope it helps for now. Cheers.
