Zoomed along
At breakneck speed
Mind adrift, high above
Looking down upon
Black curving track
Chasing need
Time stretched
Elasticity pulled taut
Each moment pressed
And flattened out
As hands dance
Before thought
Braked, turned in hard
Caught the line
Elegant arc described
In rubber streaks
Accelerated
Voicing engine’s whine
Arrowed out
Ran the straight
By windy song
Entranced
Spun the wheel
Shifted weight
Tires smoked
Sideways angled
Playing pedals
Preserving speed
Found the exit
Drift untangled
Finished run
Perception reset
Space to think
As velocity sinks
Realize, laughing
Still tracktime yet
