I recently fell into the tired wage gap argument with a normally reasonable feminist friend. I showed her facts and graphs and she showed me tears.  She couldnt understand how bigoted and male i was.  Then in frustration i decided to give in.

I decided to explain how she was correct and it was all a clever plot of white males throught history. "The wage gap is necessary." I explained. "It is indeed fair, a true act of selfless chivalry and that she was still pretty at 30..." ill get to that.

I looked to my left and right, i leaned in and inhaled her perfume, and dropped a peek at her bossum, then said "You see there are two sexs needed to procreate and add to the village.  Only the women can bear offspring. Leaving the man a role of protection and providing during the long weening proccess. This is part of the social contract we have with the village. The wage gap is therefore a disincentive, like a carbon tax, nudging women to have children while they are young and fertile."

"Its also a chivalrous act"...i said. Yea i know what your thinking, were good friends and she hits like a girl anyway. "I mean it" i said, "women marry up, men marry down. At 18 if you enter a college your out at 24, maybe intern for 3 yrs. If you get lucky and fast track for 5 years you might make vp at 30. You could only achieve this timeline by forgoing a family or serious non work relationships. So now in mid 30's your biological clock starts going off. But if you are a top 10% earner and have to marry up, what 40 year old 9%er is gonna give up his lifes passion for a 30 year old needing fertility and menopause treatment when he can get a 20 some hottie to do his dishes for him. Its for your own good."

I dont know if she hit me the second time because i told her she was still pretty after the first punch, or if it was coming anyway, but that one hurt.
