Until now, there hasn't been a comprehensive listing of the breadth of organisms that call this future mining hotspot home. But with the publication of a new study outlining the 5,578 different species found in the region, we now have a basic understanding of the biodiversity of the region. An estimated 88% to 92% of those species are entirely new to science. #floraandfauna #corporateignorance
