🏰 βš”οΈβš”οΈ πŸ”΅πŸŸ€πŸŸ’ Late 13.C Beaumaris Castle, on the ISLE OF ANGLESEY in north-west WALES, built by King Edward I, known as "Longshanks". Intended to be the crowning glory of his Welsh castles, it has been called β€˜the greatest castle never built’ due to its incomplete status. In spite of this, its sheer size and beautifully symmetrical design remain awe-inspiring. Lack of funding & trouble in Scotland diverted attention away from Beaumaris, sealing its fate as an unfinished masterpiece.
