πŸ’» 2. We all know the importance of teaching our children to read. It is said that readers are leaders, and all leaders are readers. This little saying is absolutely true. Looking into the future, though, it won’t be enough for our children to be readers of the written word....See more

πŸ“š 3. The beginning stages of learning to read start well before a child is school-aged. When a parent reads with their kiddo, they expose their children to language, both spoken and written. You might not think your child is looking and following along (especially those rowdy...See more

πŸ“ 4. When I was in school, I used to get frustrated when my math teachers would go too quickly for my mind to comprehend. It wasn’t until I got to college, when a professor took the time to sit down and work through my weak areas, that I actually grasped the concepts at hand. I...See more

11. Last topic for now: Learning Palettes! If you haven't heard of learning palettes before tonight, don't feel too bad. These hidden gems (literally... I had never heard of them before a week ago) of Usborne are AmAzInG! They are self-correcting, so your kiddo can work on their cards by themselves. These make a GREAT quiet time activity. Even if you don't homeschool, this is a great way for your child to reinforce all they are learning. It also helps you see where their strengths and weaknesses are. #homeschool #homework #education
