Contrary to what you may have heard, you are needed in this world. We treat our planet like something of a commodity as though somehow if we trash the whole thing to make money we are going to survive, but we’re not. We must figure out how to follow our truth. It’s like being a tuning fork, aligning to the integrity or the authenticity of a human being and creating a frequency that holds such a level of truth that gives us permission to come home to ourselves. It’s time for the radical! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z63NFyT2giY&t=6s

Our Mind Plays A Critical Role In Healing Our Body Many academics around the world are studying the interaction of our thoughts with the material world. Multiple studies and experiments have demonstrated that the mind assists with healing and recovery because we can change our biology by changing what we believe to be true. The placebo effect is the subject of major research efforts in a clinical setting. This phenomenon creates the potential for doctors to have an efficient and side effect-free tool to treat patients. There are many examples of when the mind creates physiological changes in the body. “The brain plays an enormous role in the level of pain we feel. Placebo painkillers can trigger the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals called endorphins. Patients with Parkinson’s disease respond to placebos with a flood of dopamine. Researchers all over the world have found that placebo treatments can stimulate real biological and physiological responses — everything from changes in heart rate to blood pressure and even chemical activity in the brain. It has been effective with a number of different ailments from arthritis and Parkinson’s to depression, fatigue, anxiety, and more. The examples are endless, making clear that the mind-body connection definitely warrants more attention when it comes to mainstream medicine and therapeutic interventions." Tel Aviv University Researchers Have Successfully 3D Printed A Human Heart This is a major medical breakthrough because the world’s first 3D vascularized engineered heart was printed using the patient's cells and specific biological materials. It has the same immunological, cellular, biochemical, and anatomical properties of the patient's original heart. "Never before has a full organ been printed with complete success and been able to be put to use. In regenerative medicine, scientists have only been successful in printing simple tissues without blood vessels. This is the first time anyone anywhere has successfully engineered and printed an entire heart replete with cells, blood vessels, ventricles, and chambers.” People have managed to 3D-print the structure of a heart in the past, but this approach is personalized and has more potential for tissue and organ replacement in the future. “The biocompatibility of engineered materials is crucial to eliminating the risk of implant rejection, which jeopardizes the success of such treatments. Ideally, the biomaterial should possess the same biochemical, mechanical, and topographical properties of the patient’s own tissues. The printed heart still needs to be developed further, and they still need to figure out how to make it ‘behave’ like a heart." Hopefully in the future we can have organ printers in hospitals around the world that can be available to everybody with heart failure, offering an effective alternative to the risks and difficulties of organ transplant from donors. There’s A Tree That Bleeds Metal and Might Help Us Save The Environment In Sabah, Malaysia a rare tree named Phyllanthus rufuschaneyi has been found to be a nickel hyperaccumulator. “Different species of equally impressive nickel hyperaccumulator plants have also been discovered in New Caledonia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, so it could be just a matter of time before the region becomes a hotbed of nickel agromining. Hyperaccumulators are plants that have evolved to take up usually toxic metals like nickel and zinc into their stems, leaves, and even seeds. The roots of these hyperaccumulators eagerly soak up the metal from the soil. Scientists think that it could be an evolutionary trait to fight off pests or even help in the uptake of potassium from the soil. So when you cut into the Phyllanthus rufuschaneyi tree, it ‘bleeds’ a dark blue-green sap full of nickel. This nickel-rich sap is also far more concentrated than nickel ores currently used in the world’s metal smelters.” Scientists in Malaysia have started cultivation on a small scale, producing 200 kilograms of nickel, which could be worth thousands of dollars on international markets according to the New York Times. This metal-bleeding tree can help to save the environment. Mining activities often release uncontrolled quantities of heavy metal waste. It causes pollution of the ecosystem, loss of biodiversity, and health problems. The plant can clean mining areas from heavy metals, helping to create a suitable environment for regrowth of lost flora and fauna. Mining companies can clean up former mines and collect some revenue, while farmers with access to mineral rich soil may also start effectively growing the nickel used in industry for products like electronics and stainless steel. This organisation aims to clean up 90% of ocean plastic pollution. Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans. A portion of this plastic travels to ocean garbage patches, getting caught in a vortex of circulating currents. Some plastic garbage has been in the ocean for decades. If no action is taken, the plastic will increasingly impact our ecosystems, health, and economies. However there is a hope to clean up a large volume of this garbage with a certain device. The inventor, a Dutchman named Boyan Slat, works with his team to develop advanced technologies that rid plastic from the oceans. "The Ocean Cleanup is a nonprofit organization and started a cleanup system aimed to resolve the Pacific trash vortex, which is most commonly known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.” In October of 2019, The Ocean Cleanup was able to extract 60 bags of garbage from the Great Pacific Garbage. The device uses passive garbage collection, a method that goes along with the flow of the water’s current, thus saving tremendous resources, as it would be highly expensive to actively chase the plastic garbage using nets and vessels. Slat mentioned that for the garbage patch, their calculations show that in 5 years they should be able to clean up about 50% of the garbage patch. The first haul of 60 bags of garbage marked the end of the first mission. To fund future missions and as part of recycling, converting the plastics into useful products will be the next phase for the organization. In recent updates, partners are working hand in hand with the nonprofit regarding a system that can sort and clean the plastic, as well as recycle it. The goal is to create products that will not end up back in the ocean. The nonprofit organization aims to have them come out by September of this year." The Ocean Cleanup team is working daily to rid the world's oceans of plastic. Reduction of the amount of waste discarded in waterways and on land near water will help to free the ocean from plastic. A Guinness World Record for the largest underwater cleanup effort. "633 divers filed into the waters off Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier in Florida, part of a mass initiative to remove trash from the area’s reefs and ocean floor. Divers flocked to Deerfield Beach from as far as Europe and South America to participate in the event. To count towards the World Record effort, they had to be certified divers, be outfitted in full scuba gear and spend at least 15 minutes hunting for trash in the water." All together within two hours they removed an estimated 3200 pounds - more than one and a half tons of trash that had been polluting the marine environment. "The World Record was previously set in 2015 by 614 divers who cleaned up the Red Sea. This pocket of the Atlantic is emblematic of a much larger problem, which sees an estimated 14 billion pounds of trash enter the ocean each year. Most of the pollution is plastic, which poses numerous threats to animals and coral reefs." The best news is that this annual cleanup has been carried out for the past 15 years by volunteers. This community took an initiative to rid Florida’s coast of such pollution. It is a great example of how people are doing their own part to help the planet. Scientists show how gratitude alters the structure of the brain. Happiness is an inside job. Somebody who has all the necessities they need to live can be found complaining while somebody who doesn't have that can be extremely grateful. It’s a matter of perspective, and it can be difficult to experience actual happiness for those who do not appreciate what they have. Many people are looking toward external factors to feel happiness, when really it’s all related to internal work. "Having an attitude of gratitude changes the molecular structure of the brain, keeps gray matter functioning, and makes us healthier and happier. When you feel happiness, the central nervous system is affected. You are more peaceful, less reactive and less resistant." Researchers identified how gratitude might actually work on minds and bodies, suggesting what causes the psychological benefits of gratitude. "Gratitude unshackles us from toxic emotions. It helps even if you don’t share it. Gratitude’s benefits take time and practice. You might not feel it right away but gratitude has lasting effects on the brain. Practicing gratitude may help train the brain to be more sensitive to the experience of gratitude down the line, and this could contribute to improved mental health over time." Feelings of gratitude can actually change your brain. You can have many benefits, among which are greater mental clarity and the ability to make better decisions. "Every individual’s emotions and intentions generate energy that affects the collective field environment. We should take personal responsibility for our own energies. We can do this by increasing our personal coherence and raising our vibratory rate, which helps us become more conscious of the thoughts, feelings, and attitudes that we are feeding the field each day." When we change our inner world through gratitude, empathy, and compassion, we change our outside world too. There are new technologies coming out every year, and many technologies have already been developed that the general population doesn't know about because the news doesn’t reach us. We want to change this situation by informing people about the modern world of technologies. Did you know that several companies are already using technology to make clean water from air? Atmospheric water generators are capable of pulling clean drinking water from the air. They are based on techniques that extract and condense moisture in the air. These technologies provide people with sustainable and affordable access to clean water. After the air is drawn in and chilled to extract its humidity, the water that forms is treated and transformed into clean drinking water. It has a significant impact on communities around the world and gives a solution that is both commercially available and affordable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96tp_S4rK6o
