Propaganda as Stealthy as a Virus

Propaganda—like illness—comes in varying potencies. Whether virulent or simply insidious, propaganda will often receive a boost from virulent levels of fear among the target population. With such mania, it is the more insidious types of suggestion that are most easily slipped in and hidden in broad daylight.

Consider the following Vox.com piece of insidious propaganda surrounding the coronavirus: The coronavirus has now killed more people in the US than the 9/11 terror attacks. It may seem innocent enough, a comparison of two tragedies, but any juxtaposition first involves a deliberate choice to include one comparison and not another. That is already the workings of an agenda.

So why the comparison to 9/11? That was an event leading to an out-of-control surveillance state, suspension of civil liberties, and a nonstop series of military invasions. It was supposedly so serious as to necessitate such actions at the cost of the Constitution. When fear and hysteria are so high, vaunted ideals are first to get tossed under the bus. The cited article includes this section header: "Should the US focus more on global health than terrorism?" By posing that question, it is equating the two in terms of the type and severity of response, thus surreptitiously co-opting the coronavirus to the cause of tyranny by further reeling-in liberty. The fear and hysteria levels are now again at such a level as to start planting such ideas. At some point, we stand for nothing but being safe, and the bright sunlight of our most radiant ideals is eclipsed with the darkness of fear.

Make no mistake about what the article is referring to by the term “global health.” It has nothing to do with glowing vitality and naturally robust immune systems… it has nothing to do with health. We already know the forces waiting to inherit the spoils in such a “war,” Big Pharma, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, et al. and their transparent, never-relenting drive toward wholesale mandates of various pharmaceutical interventions and RFID-type microchip implants, ultimate surveillance tools and ultimate expressions of a body-breaching that casts aside individual freedom and autonomy. And—necessary or not—we now have our “dress rehearsal” with medical martial law and a global lockdown. As an “enemy” useful to these forces and their agendas, the virus has many advantages over terrorists flying planes into buildings; what it may lack in instant, impactful drama it makes up for in the kind of terror spread by all unseen attackers, the kind that gets our own imaginations working against us.

In this future nonstop pharmaceutical war against terrorist viruses, what becomes of those who have always sought alternatives to the pharmaceutical model? What becomes of those who have actually exercised their free choice by opting for self-responsible health management, actively maintaining their fitness and vitality, avoiding junk food, making the extra effort at informed food choices, eating organic, supporting sustainable food production and proactively keeping the immune system strong... how are they to be classified in this war? Enemy combatants? Here’s an idea for Vox's next article on this topic: compare the number of deaths from the coronavirus to the annual death figures at the hands of pharma and the conventional drug-based medical paradigm. You're not going to like that one... and you'll never publish it.

So let’s now engage in a little thought experiment: suppose that all the yearly deaths at the hands of pharma and conventional drug-based medicine came under the sensation-lusting eye of mainstream media—CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, FOX, NBC, and the various establishment print media. Impossible, you say, that will never happen; but just play along and work your imagination that much harder. Imagine the full sensationalist treatment, the full-blown, 24/7, wall-to-wall news coverage, like they’re now doing for the coronavirus: emergency updates, dramatic music, war-room style maps charting-out the enemy, “this just in” cuts to some location or other, a parade of government or pharma experts, Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta going back and forth in their best concerned voices, subtly showcasing their professional ability to modulate their terror, letting just enough slip through to do their part in spreading that virus of fear… it’s all theater.

At this stage of amplified hysteria in the picture we’re building in our imaginations, eugenicist Bill Gates should logically just shrink away; but let’s keep him in our thought-experiment, still foisting the same GMO and vaccine projects he’s invested in, still acting like a crowned king, deciding for us that one-size-fits-all mandatory vaccines will be our only option for health, still proceeding as if the state-controlled monitoring and tracking of free citizens with implanted RFID chips or other technologies is at his discretion, no less than if we were his personal herd of cattle, and still holding Event 201-type pandemic “war game” simulations with fellow corporate heavyweights and no representation for the rest of us serfs at the table. Keep him in the mental scenario if only to highlight the Orwellian madness and unmitigated usurpation of power.

But so we don’t completely blowout our respective imagination circuits, we’ll curb the reach of the crisis there. We won’t expand the circle to include other sponsors of the news, such as all the junk food manufacturers scientifically tweaking their products for addictive feeding on health-undermining ingredients, supplying more diabetics for the pharma drug machine. We won’t include the Grocery Manufacturers Association and its “household name” members obscuring health or GMO information in election or product advertising. We won’t include recent censorships by Google, Facebook et al. against alternative health sites offering practical, effective health information. We won’t include captured government agencies making the kinds of recommendations that support these ways of life… or, well, not “life,” but whatever this is when over 50% of people have a chronic illness, around 40% of adults are obese, the vast majority of Americans are on multiple prescription drugs and formerly unheard of conditions like autism are skyrocketing.

Instead, we’ll just narrowly focus specifically on the medical or “iatrogenic” deaths, those caused from medical errors, unnecessary surgeries, medication errors in hospitals and, leading the pack, the side effects from drugs taken as prescribed. How often do such deaths occur in the United States? About 250,000 time a year. But if we add in other kinds of errors, diagnostic, errors of omission or not following guidelines, the number of preventable hospital deaths is more like 440,000 per year. That’s the legacy of a system that wants monopolistic, dictatorial control over your health decisions. With such a track record of failure, you would want to insure your business with government mandates too. You would want the immunity from legal liability that vaccine manufacturers now enjoy as a 1986 gift from Congress.

Why doesn’t this warrant the hysterical reaction the coronavirus has generated? To keep such things relatively secret, or at least non-hysterical, the guilty party would have to own the news through sponsorships, and have the biggest lobbying force in Washington. Check… and check.

Returning to complete our thought experiment, amid the media-fomented hysteria from this medical carnage, along comes a Vox article entitled: “Conventional medicine in the United States has killed more people than all the U.S. casualties from all the wars in the entire history of the United States.”

As far as eye-popping headlines go, this one beats the story they actually went for. And it’s just as legitimate a story… just as available.

To complete our look into insidious propaganda, when comparing the deaths from the coronavirus to the deaths from 9/11, the former has now surpassed the latter; by making this association, the coronavirus gains in severity by presumably rivaling 9/11 in threat and sheer horror. In that comparison, pharmaceutical interventions are portrayed in the role of a longed-for hero, thus paving the way for the long-planned agenda items of mandating vaccinations and the technological surveillance of citizens in the context of a medical police state.

In the comparison Vox could’ve pursued, the one from our thought experiment, the number of coronavirus deaths is utterly dwarfed by pharmaceutical deaths. In that context, only a fool would regard pharma as any kind of savior, let alone the complete master and stewards of our health decisions. At the very least, the freedom of choice should emerge unscathed.

Propaganda is a funny thing. Sometimes it hits you over the head. But more often, it’s hiding in broad daylight, often in something as simple as the choice of a comparison. The effect, if not the purpose, of propaganda is to obscure or eclipse the simple light of truth. When light is so obscured in a total solar eclipse, a corona appears, having also been hiding in broad daylight. Corona is Latin for crown, a symbol of oft coveted royal power and vulnerable to seizure through poisoning as Shakespeare’s Hamlet portrays. Now we have a sneaky billionaire and an underhanded industry armed with a war-chest of drugs and poisons vying for just such dictatorial power. They already have way too much. But when the eclipse has past and the corona recedes from view, they will have to stand exposed with their schemes in the broad daylight of the sun.
