Recently the French government introduced a new type of education curriculum to help students better understand bitcoin and cryptocurrency so they can be better prepared for the financial future, which may very well be blockchain technology. This new initiative will be taught in high schools, creating new jobs for present and future teachers.
The details of the course are published in the French Ministry of National Education agenda which shows their plan to educate the youth about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
As the new courses are implemented, the teachers will be expected to produce lesson plans for bitcoin and cryptocurrency that prepares students for the future of blockchain technology. The curriculum should introduce bitcoin and cryptocurrency in an easy to understand manner while providing details about their history and how it was created, as well as the technology behind it.
This is great news for the space as it provides the students with a choice. Education has always been the key to making cryptocurrency a success, therefore this new initiative that France plans to implement will be a game-changer on whether students decide between fiat and crypto.
France is not the first school to teach cryptocurrency is schools as in June it was reported that the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) awarded Digital Diplomas for blockchain technology by the largest university in Canada.
Although these new proposed courses do not intend to go in-depth on the subject, they will however open the doors for young students to educate themselves further on bitcoin and cryptocurrency if they wish to do so, having understood the basics.
