Our country is rotting. A sepsis has set into the body politic, and amputation is the only remedy. America was not established upon borders or bloodlines. We are a nation of ideas. Those ideas are enshrined in our Constitution, which guarantees to us certain sovereign rights as individuals such as speech, worship, association, due process, and bearing arms. However, those ideas are no longer shared by the leadership of half of our nation, and I fear are no longer held by the majority of their constituents. The Democrats and their allies have turned America from a nation of freedom into a nation of tyranny as they seek to levy punishments against those who dissent from their orthodoxy and arrogantly label such mistreatment as “accountability” and “consequences,” as if to absolve themselves of guilt for their own actions.
Those who have spoken out against the left-wing have found themselves labeled as “racists” or “white supremacists,” terms whose definitions are ever expanding into absurdity. Conservatives have lost jobs, received death threats, lost access to social media, and have been denied service at banks. Significantly, Signature Bank has announced that it will no longer do business with any member of Congress who voted to challenge the 2020 election. Worse still, Democrats are calling for the expulsion of elected representatives who did so, despite the U.S. Code permitting such objections. At this time, you must each ask yourselves what you will do when you are faced with “consequences” for representing the interests of the people who elected you. How will you survive when your bank refuses to serve you because you voted for a bill or resolution the bank did not approve? Will you become like Parler, a victim of an illegal group boycott, unable to find anyone else to take you in? Would the concept of representative government even survive in such a system?
You may seek out the courts for aid, but you can no longer expect to find legal counsel to help you. Many of President Trump’s lawyers were threatened and harassed into abandoning him. Even now, Democrats are attacking the licenses of attorneys who questioned the election, effectively declaring that challenges to their narrative are now legal offenses. Parler’s lawyers likewise abandoned it when Google, Apple, and Amazon shut them down, as if the 1959 case of Klor's, Inc. v. Broadway-Hale Stores, Inc. never happened. What will you do if lawyers are too afraid of suffering “consequences” for representing you when the Democrats come for you?
Even if you can find a brave lawyer to take your case, will the courts even hear it? When President Trump challenged an unconstitutional change to Pennsylvania’s election laws, the District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania dismissed the case as premature because the election had not occurred yet. When he refiled after the election, the Supreme Court pushed the deadline for a response until after the inauguration, preventing the case from having a meaningful conclusion regardless of its merits. Additionally, when President Trump challenged an unconstitutional alteration to the election laws in Wisconsin, the Seventh Circuit rejected the challenge as too late because he should have filed the lawsuit before the election, which is the exact opposite of what the Pennsylvania district court told him. Worst of all, the Supreme Court refused to even hear a lawsuit filed by Texas and joined by 20 states on the grounds that those states lacked standing despite the fact that the Supreme Court has a constitutional obligation to hear disputes between states. In so doing, the Supreme Court abrogated its role as a neutral forum for the resolution of our disputes. This is not new behavior for the Court. In 2020 alone, the Supreme Court refused to hear 10 gun rights cases, despite the Constitution’s clear prohibition on infringement, and in 2019 it refused hear a case to protect the bodily privacy rights of children who sued to prevent their school from allowing students of the opposite sex to be naked with them. Yet, the Supreme Court found the time to rewrite the Civil Rights Act to force transgenderism into the workplace. If the courts will not even hear these profoundly important cases, what chance do you have for the courts to hear yours?
Perhaps you would then put your faith in a future federal election to change who holds the presidency and the houses of Congress. Such a circumstance would be expected to result in new laws and a more just Supreme Court. Yet, is that what we saw from Washington when we held it all? The current majority of the Court was appointed by Republicans, yet they would not even hear a case that the Constitution required them to hear. Moreover, the Republican Congress did nothing to prevent the creeping cancellation of conservatives, which is now entering into services, like access to banking, that are necessities. We can expect no aid from Washington. We must now look only to ourselves.
And yet, even here we find their intrusion. Throughout last year, our cities were looted and burned by Antifa and Black Lives Matter, and almost nothing was done by the Democrat-run city governments, except to reduce the budget of police departments and prosecute people who defended themselves from the rioters. Now, this same Democrat party, which raised money to help those rioters get out of jail, tells all of us that we are seditious traitors because some of the president’s supporters rioted in Washington, and even people who peacefully and lawfully attended the rally are finding themselves suddenly unemployed.
Even worse is what the Democrats are doing to our children. When they are not busy exposing them to child molesters dressed in women’s clothing at Drag Queen Story Hour events, they are teaching them to hate each other in the name of Critical Race Theory. The worst examples of this hateful indoctrination can be found in Bank Street School for Children in New York and Democracy Prep in Nevada. At Bank Street School, they segregated the students by race and taught the white students that they were racist. Parents of these students reported that their children came home in tears with the belief that their skin color made them bad people. At Democracy Prep, students were taught that white people and men are dominant whereas other groups were submissive, that prejudice from black students is not harmful to white students, and that the institutions of family and religion reinforce racism and homophobia. This indoctrination is conditioning our children to think of themselves and their peers in terms of race and to view one another as oppressor and oppressed on the basis of skin color. The Democrats are teaching our children to be racists in the name of equality. With Democrats soon running the federal Department of Education, we can expect this indoctrination to spread to the schools of our states. If this indoctrination is not stopped, the next generation will be poised to repeat some of the darkest and most shameful parts of our nation’s history.
We cannot continue in a nation in which violence can be done to us with impunity, especially where leaders in the government not only aid those committing the violence but also punish those who defend themselves. We cannot continue in a nation that perverts our children and teaches them racial hatred. Moreover, we cannot continue in a nation that seeks to punish us for the exercise of our civil liberties and provides us with no reliable forum for a redress of our grievances. Even worse, the Democrats are turning the mere expression of such grievances into punishable offenses by seeking to punish the expression directly, having their business partners do so, or by permitting violent mobs to pillage and burn.
The Democrats are communicating a singular message to us: you have no place here. The time has come for us to accept their judgment. The time has come for secession.
Let us go in peace and be rid of them forever, and thereby give to them the gift they so vociferously desire, which is to be rid of us. In so doing, both sides will finally have a country that each can call home, and we will all finally know peace between each other and unity among ourselves in our separate nations.
The time has come.
