Skynet The First Blockchain Chip
Although the price of cryptocurrency fell, it did not discourage developers from continuing to innovate with blockchain technology. A futuristic project that is being worked on is a solution to the burden experienced by servers to manage the Internet of Things (IoT).
Skynet Core is a license-free and open-source RISC-V blockchain chip that can replace the modern CPU with a chip optimized for the Internet of Things and Blockchain Technology.
Skynet plans to launch three chip models, namely
1.SkyChip R1
32-bit low-end RISC-V blockchain core for IoT Devices. This is used to service devices that have small power.
2.SkyChip R2
64 bit RISC-V blockchain core for Edge Intelligence. This product is for higher levels, namely smart pc and with more power.
3.SkyChhip R3
64 bit RISC-V blockchain core for servers. For servers that are strong, they need this product.
Blockchain and Hardware
Skynet team conducts research to unite intelligent blockchain technology with hardware and it is expected that the results have some advantages including;
1.Accelerated deep learning
It is expected that this technology has a high speed of Multiplications at Tens of Tera-Operations Per Second on-chip Intelligence.
2.Cryptocurrency cold storage
The first generation of cold storage hardware is trezor and nano ledger. This technology is built in Crypto Hardware Wallet with CC EAL6 +, RSA encryption, and secure memory.
3.Hash acceleration
When this hardware is used for mining cryptocurrency, this chip will be very supportive. In addition to hardware, it functions to more quickly synchronize nodes on a cryptocurrency network wallet.
4.Automatic Signing
Have Automatic Signing Capabilities With Processor-Enabled Designs to Verify Outgoing transactions .
Skynet Operation Network (SON)
Skynet Open Network (SON) is a modular platform that scales horizontally with the amount of blockchains on it. SON is designed to be used on a commercial or mass addoption basis. Developers can develop various applications above SON. This technology will be a big change in IoT and AI in the market both commercial and non-profit.
Skynet Team Members
Skynet is a project from the OpenSingularity Foundation. The advisory team that joined included Professor Jun Zhang. He is the Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things at the Nanjing Hohai University.

The Skynet team is led by Alexander Shi, the Founder of OpenSingularity Group and a member of the RISC-V Technical committee. Alongside him is Dr. Jae Jung, the former Vice President of Samsung and Founder of NeoPace Telecom, Dr. Carl Shi, the former Vice President of Qualcomm and inventor of over 400 patents.
